Amsterdam dedicated server from an EU company, billed in euros
An Amsterdam dedicated server is a whole machine of your own in Iron Mountain's Tier III facility in Haarlem, just west of the city, sold and invoiced in euros by our company in Romania. Your data stays in the EU, your supplier is in the EU, and an EU business with a valid VAT number outside Romania pays no VAT on the invoice.
No contract. A machine already in the rack is yours about 30 minutes after the order is approved, and a build to order takes 4 to 24 hours when we hold the parts.

A Netherlands dedicated server, and why people choose one
Choosing Amsterdam usually comes down to two things: their users in Western Europe a short trip away, and a supplier and an invoice that keep their accountant and their clients happy. Here is how both work with us.
-
01
Close to Western Europe
The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and the UK are all a short trip from Haarlem. For a shop, an app or a game with users across that part of Europe, this is the natural middle.
-
02
Personal data kept in the EU
The disks are in the Netherlands and nothing is copied out of it unless you copy it. That does not make you GDPR compliant by itself, since how you handle the data is still your job, but it removes the question of a transfer outside the EU for the server.
-
03
An EU invoice, VAT handled
Your invoice comes in euros from Primcast Europe SRL, our company in Romania. Give us a VAT number that checks out in VIES and, outside Romania, the invoice carries no VAT under the reverse charge.
-
04
Prices in euros, not converted
A server here carries the same number a US room charges in dollars, but in euros. The euro figure on this page is the one we bill, before any VAT, with no exchange rate in between.

Two promises about the network
Your port is not shared with any other customer at the access switch, and nothing meters the traffic that crosses it. To compare the two European rooms from where you are, ping Bucharest's address, 89.39.149.246, as well.
03The lines
The server lines we build in Amsterdam
Amsterdam builds 6 lines, from cartridges to four-socket rack servers, and 2 of them can take a graphics card. Each price is the line's entry build, parts listed under it, per month in euros and before VAT. Change anything in the configurator and it is priced from there.

A configured order is built for you and pays the setup fee on its row, once. The fastest port on offer here is 100 Gbps, and 10 Gbps is €529 a month on the lines that have it. Bucharest, our other room in the EU, bills on the same euro terms: see the lines it builds.

Nothing is racked in Amsterdam at this moment. Every line in the table above can still be built here, and the racked servers page shows what is ready in the other cities.
By the hour, a machine costs its monthly price divided by 730, plus 30%, in euros. Every ready machine, in every city, is on the racked servers page.
05Terms
What an Amsterdam server comes with
Primcast Europe SRL invoices it in euros, one month at a time. VAT follows the EU rules: none for a business elsewhere in the EU whose VAT number checks out in VIES, Romanian VAT for a Romanian customer, your own country's rate as a private person in the EU, and none outside the EU.
Included
- The whole machine, with root or Administrator access and no other customer on it
- An unmetered port that is not shared at the access switch
- One IPv4 address and IPv6
- No contract; 3, 6 or 12 months paid at once is 5%, 10% or 15% cheaper, software licenses excepted
- Card, PayPal, bank transfer or cryptocurrency
- Support on chat: our AI answers in seconds and can check your server for you, and a person takes over whenever you ask
Not promised
- No DDoS protection, as a feature or as an extra
- No uptime percentage. The service agreement credits a day of the monthly charge for each cumulative hour the network is down, once an outage passes 15 consecutive minutes, up to a month
- A failed part is replaced in the time your support tier states: 24 hours on the included tier, down to 2 hours on the fastest paid one (compare the tiers)
- No brand-new hardware. These are enterprise machines, many a generation or more old, and priced that way
06Questions
Questions about an Amsterdam dedicated server
01Is Amsterdam the right choice for users in Europe?
For Western Europe, usually yes: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and the UK are all close. For Romania, the Balkans and the east of the EU, our Bucharest room is nearer. The board at the top of this page times both from your own connection, along with our three US rooms.
02Who invoices an Amsterdam server, and is VAT added?
Primcast Europe SRL, our company in Romania, invoices it in euros. A business in another EU country whose VAT number is valid in VIES pays no VAT under the reverse charge. A Romanian customer pays Romanian VAT, a private person in the EU pays their own country's rate, and a customer outside the EU pays none.
03Does a server in the Netherlands make me GDPR compliant?
No server can do that by itself: GDPR governs how you collect and use personal data, which remains your responsibility. What this one gives you is a machine in an EU member state, a supplier that is an EU company, and no copy of your data anywhere else unless you make one.
04How soon is an Amsterdam server ready?
About 30 minutes after the order is approved, for a machine already in the rack. A build to order takes 4 to 24 hours when we hold the parts, 5 to 10 working days when a part has to be bought in, and 10 to 15 for a scarce one. The payment check comes first and is the part that varies.
05Is the Amsterdam data center actually in Amsterdam?
It is in Haarlem, about 20 kilometres west of central Amsterdam: Iron Mountain's AMS-1 at J.W. Lucasweg 35. The facility is built to Tier III, with 2N generators and UPS, N+2 cooling and badge-only access, and Iron Mountain lists ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, ISO 14001, SOC 1 Type II and PCI DSS for it.
06Is the bandwidth in Amsterdam metered?
No. Nothing counts the traffic on your port, and the port is not shared with any other customer at the access switch. Each line includes 1 Gbps or 500 Mbps, and the order form goes up to 100 Gbps, with 10 Gbps at €529 a month.
07Can I rent an Amsterdam server by the hour?
Yes, any machine already racked, taken as it stands. The shelf above shows each one's hourly rate in euros under its monthly price. A configured build is billed by the month.
08What if the network goes down or a part fails?
Once the network has been down for more than 15 consecutive minutes, the service agreement credits you a day of the monthly charge for every cumulative hour that month, up to one month. A failed part is replaced within the time your support tier states, 24 hours on the included one. Support is on chat, where our AI answers in seconds and a person takes over whenever you ask.
