100 Gbps unmetered port
A 100G dedicated server is one physical machine with its own 100 Gbps port, and on ours the port is unmetered: you pay one monthly price and your traffic is never counted or billed. The cheapest complete build costs $4,082.67 a month, which is $2,044.03 less than ten servers at 10 Gbps.
It is built for jobs that send a lot of data to a lot of people at once, like video origins, CDN nodes and download servers. There is no contract, and you can cancel when any month ends.
01The price comparison
Yes. You can buy a hundred gigabits as one server with a 100 Gbps port or as ten servers with 10 Gbps each. At 20 Gbps and 40 Gbps the extra machines come out cheaper, and those pages show the same sums. At 100 Gbps it turns around.

This is one machine at every port it takes, so the hardware stays the same from row to row. The last column is what you pay for each gigabit, server included.

At 100 Gbps a gigabit costs $40.83, against $85.63 at 20 Gbps and $61.27 at 10 Gbps. This is the one port where moving up makes every gigabit cheaper than where you started.

04Before launch day
The port is the easy part. These four things decide whether you see the speed you are paying for.
A 100 Gbps port fills up with thousands of transfers running side by side. A single download never gets close, because the far end, the distance and the protocol hold it back first. If your traffic is a few large copies, plan on what one copy really reaches.
Sending this much traffic is work for the processors and the disks, not only the network card. The line that takes this port goes up to 40 cores and 1 TB of memory. Size the build for your traffic, not for the entry price.
One server in one city is a round trip away from everyone else. If your viewers are spread out, a smaller port in a second city can do more than a bigger one in the first. Our looking glass runs ping and traceroute from our network to any address you give it, so you can check the distance to your users first.

It means we do not count your traffic. You pay the monthly price of the server and its port, and there is no allowance to run out of and no overage bill. The ceiling is the size of the port, 100 Gbps here, and nothing is added to the invoice for using it.
It is offered on 1 of our 18 configurable lines today. The cheapest is the Intel Xeon Silver / Gold line, built in New York, Bucharest, San Francisco, Miami and Amsterdam. If you need this much bandwidth on other hardware, ask us in chat before you order.
No, and that is true of any server. One transfer is held back by the other end, the distance and the protocol long before it reaches the limit of the port. A 100 Gbps port is for many transfers at once, which is what streaming, downloads and origin traffic look like.
Yes, as long as you start on the line that carries 100 Gbps. It sells every port from 1 Gbps up, so the upgrade is a port change and not a new machine. Starting on another line means moving to a new server to get here.
