Cheap GPU dedicated server
The cheap GPU server that is an actual computer, not a share of one
We took Intel Core i5-9500 desktops, fitted each with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB and racked them in Bucharest on unmetered gigabit. You rent one whole: the card, the processor, 32 GB of memory and the 256 GB NVMe SSD, with root access and one flat monthly price.
Sizing it up
Will 6 GB of GPU memory be enough for your job?
The memory on the card decides what loads at all. Here is how common models compare with the 6 GB GDDR6 on this one.
| Workload | Weights in memory | On this card |
|---|---|---|
| Llama 3.1 8B, 4-bit (Q4_K_M) | 4.92 GB | Fits |
| Whisper large-v3 speech to text, 16-bit | about 3.1 GB | Fits |
| Stable Diffusion 1.5 image generation, 16-bit | about 2 GB | Fits |
| SDXL base image generation, 16-bit | about 6.9 GB | Needs offloading |
| A 13B language model, 4-bit (Q4_K_M) | 7.87 GB | Too big |
Weights only, as published on Hugging Face; leave some room for the context window and the runtime. When your model outgrows 6 GB, the RTX 30 series servers go up to 24 GB and the GPU dedicated servers page lists every card we fit.
Where it earns its keep
Three things people put on a cheap GPU dedicated server
-
Your own AI endpoint, with nobody reading the prompts
Run Ollama or llama.cpp with an 8B model, add Whisper for speech, and point your app at an API that lives on your machine instead of somebody's per-token bill. The 2,304 CUDA cores and 3rd-generation Tensor cores do the work.
-
Live and on-demand video transcoding
A 7th-generation NVENC chip encodes H.264 and HEVC in hardware while the six processor cores stay free. With NVIDIA's driver 550.54.14 or newer, a GeForce card runs up to 8 encodes side by side, and the unmetered port means viewers never turn into a bandwidth invoice.
-
A Windows or Linux desktop you reach from anywhere
Choose Windows on the order form and use it as a remote workstation with real graphics: render in Blender, edit, or test a game build, from a laptop that could never do it alone.
Straight answers
What you get for €82.29, and what you do not
Included
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB: 6 GB GDDR6, 96-bit, 70 W
- Intel Core i5-9500: 6 cores, up to 4.4 GHz
- 32 GB of DDR4 memory
- 256 GB NVMe SSD for the system and your files
- 1 Gbps port with no traffic counted, and one IPv4 address
- Root or administrator access and basic support, around the clock
Not included
- A second drive or RAID: there is one drive, so keep backups (a nightly backup is offered on the order form)
- A remote console: desktops have no IPMI; power-on is remote, and our Bucharest staff reset a frozen machine
- Room for big training jobs: 6 GB is for inference, encoding and development
- Other cities: every one of these machines is in Bucharest, EU
From order to login
Racked already, so it is yours in about 30 minutes
Pick the system
Open the order form, choose Linux or Windows and any extras, and check the monthly total before paying.
We approve the order
Payment and a short security check come first; that wait varies, the setup after it does not.
About 30 minutes after approval the machine is online and your login details are in the dashboard.
FAQ
Questions about the cheap GPU dedicated server
Why is this GPU server so much cheaper than others?
Because it is built around a 70 W card in a desktop instead of a rack chassis made for data-centre GPUs. You pay for a real RTX 3050, not for power supplies and cooling sized for cards many times hungrier.
Do I share the graphics card with anyone?
No. Each desktop is rented to one customer, and the card is passed straight to your operating system, so all 6 GB GDDR6 and every CUDA core are yours.
Is it good for running AI models?
For inference on models up to about 8 billion parameters at 4-bit, speech recognition with Whisper and image generation with Stable Diffusion 1.5, yes. Larger models and training need a card with more memory.
Can I install Windows?
Yes. Windows is offered on the order form beside Linux distributions and Proxmox VE, and you get full administrator access to install your own software and NVIDIA's drivers.
Where are the servers, and how is the price billed?
All of them are in our Bucharest datacenter in the EU. The price is €82.29 a month in euros for the whole machine, billed monthly.
Is there a traffic limit?
No. The 1 Gbps port is unmetered: what you send and receive is never counted or billed.
