Bare metal server pricing starts with the machine, and our machines start at $5 a month. This page is for everything else that can land on the same invoice: a faster port, more addresses, a setup fee, a licence, backups, support, tax. Add those up here, then choose the machine on our dedicated server page.
Every figure below is read from the price list our checkout uses, so a total you work out here is the one the checkout shows you before tax.

01 Before any extras
What you get for the machine's monthly price alone
Before you add a single line, the monthly figure for the machine already pays for all of this. If you need nothing more, it is your whole bill, apart from tax where your country charges it.
Paid for by the machine's price
- The physical server, all of it. Its processor, memory and disks serve you and nobody else.
- A port on the access switch that is yours alone, at the speed the machine comes with, with no meter counting what you send.
- One IPv4 address. IPv6 costs nothing.
- Full root or Administrator rights, so you can install anything.
- Reinstalls from your control panel, whenever you want one.
- Basic support. Our AI assistant answers on chat within seconds and can see your server, and a person from our team joins whenever you ask.
Never on the invoice
- A bandwidth line, an overage charge, or a bill for traffic peaks.
- A fee for reinstalling, rebooting or opening the console.
- A fee for asking us something, on chat, by email or by phone.
- A higher price at renewal. The renewal section names the one discount that can end.
Memory, disks, the processor and graphics cards belong to the machine itself, so they are priced where you pick it: on the dedicated server page, in the configurator, and on the GPU page.
02 Port speed
A faster port is a flat monthly line
You pay for how fast the port is, never for how much goes through it. The table shows each speed's monthly price on our Intel Xeon Silver / Gold servers, the line that reaches the highest speed. Smaller machines stop sooner.
Some machines come with 500 Mbps. On those, moving to 1 Gbps costs $79 a month. A $0 row is the speed the machine already has. How much an unmetered port can carry.

03 Addresses
How much extra IPv4 addresses cost
Your server comes with one IPv4 address. If you run several sites with their own certificates, a mail server, or virtual machines that each need a public address, you can order more. The price is for the total number of addresses on the server, the first one included, and it is billed every month.
These are the steps on our Intel Xeon Silver / Gold servers. Cartridge servers offer fewer steps, and the order page shows what yours allows. IPv6 is free at any size, so ask for it whenever your software can use it.

04 Setup fees
When you pay a setup fee, and when you do not
A setup fee is charged once, with your first payment. It never comes back on a renewal and no discount applies to it. Whether you pay one depends on what you order.

Take a ready server exactly as it is listed and there is nothing to pay for setup. The one exception is a plan that carries a small fee of its own: AMD Opteron X2150: $13. It is usually live about 30 minutes after we approve your payment.

Change the hardware or the number of IPv4 addresses on a ready server, or build one from scratch in the configurator, and the order becomes a custom build with a one-time $29 setup fee. A plan with a fee of its own pays that fee instead. Expect it within 4 to 24 hours.

A licensed panel or other software we install for you can carry its own one-time setup, shown beside its monthly price in the licence table. Linux images and reinstalls have no setup fee.
Choosing a support tier, an operating system or a billing cycle does not change a ready server into a custom build.
05 Discounts
Two ways to lower the monthly price
You can stay month to month and cancel when a month ends. If you know the server will be with you for a while, two separate discounts apply, and you can take both.
Pay several months at once
Promise to stay a minimum term
- Both discounts cover the machine, the port, the addresses, the support tier and backups.
- Software gets neither discount. A Windows or panel licence costs its monthly price times the number of months, however you pay.
- The two multiply. The minimum term cannot be shorter than the billing cycle you pick.
- Close the server before the term ends and the committed months that no paid invoice covers are billed on one final invoice, at the discounted price. We show you that figure before you cancel.
- When the term is over, the server carries on month to month at the price without the term discount. The pay-ahead discount stays.
06 Support
What a faster support response costs
Basic support comes with every server. A paid tier buys two promises: how soon we act on your ticket, and how soon a failed part is swapped. You can add, change or drop a tier from one month to the next, and cartridge servers pay less for the same tier.

Times in hours (h) or minutes (m). Whatever the tier, chat starts with our AI assistant, which replies in seconds, and a person takes over when you ask for one. Our service agreement owes you a credit, up to a month's fee, once a server has been unreachable for more than fifteen minutes in a row. How support and credits work.
07 Licences
Operating system and control panel licences
Every Linux image is free, and so is Proxmox. Windows Server and the hosting panels are licences, billed monthly next to the server. Prices on this page are from our Intel Xeon Silver / Gold servers; your order page shows the figures for the machine you pick.

- $20.79 a month for up to 8 cores. Above 8, $2.59 per core for every core in the server.
- Datacenter
- $141.49 a month for up to 8 cores. Above 8, $17.69 per core for every core.
- Essentials
- $19.79 a month for each processor.
So a server with two 12-core processors counts 24 cores, and Standard costs 24 times the per-core price.

Streaming software such as Wowza or Flussonic is billed the same way: a monthly licence plus a one-time setup, both shown on the order page. No licence gets the pay-ahead or minimum-term discount.
08 Backups
Backup plans and what they cost
Backups are an optional monthly line. Our agent copies the whole server, encrypted on the machine, into your own Google Drive, so the storage is yours and Google's free 15 GB is usually too small: plan on a Google One storage plan.
Backup keeps seven daily copies. Backup Advanced keeps daily, weekly and three monthly copies, so you can go back at least two months. Backup Premium adds a copy every six hours and keeps twelve monthly ones.
The first time a server takes Backup or Backup Advanced, its first month is free and it runs as Backup Advanced for 30 days. Backup Premium is billed from the first day.

09 Currency and tax
Euros, dollars, VAT and sales tax
The prices on this page are before tax. Which currency you pay in and which tax applies depend on two things: the city your server is in, and your billing address.
A server in Miami, New York or San Francisco
- Billed in US dollars.
- New York sales tax is added only when your billing address is in New York State, and only on software licences such as Windows or a panel. The server, its port, addresses, support and setup fee are not taxed.
- Anywhere else, no sales tax is added.
A server in Amsterdam or Bucharest
- Billed in euros, at the same figure the build costs in dollars in our American cities.
- Billing address in Romania: Romanian VAT.
- Elsewhere in the EU: your country's VAT, or none with a valid EU VAT number.
- Outside the EU: no VAT.
The checkout first guesses your VAT from the country you are browsing from, and corrects it to your billing address before you are charged.
10 Renewing, refunds, paying
What happens after the first payment
Renewal at the same price
Each renewal invoice carries the lines you ordered at the prices you ordered them. Only a discount with an end date stops, such as a minimum term or a code for your first invoice, and the discount section says what a term leaves you paying.
Refunds
Send a written request within 3 days of the server going live. A refund is worked out pro rata on monthly pricing, less a 15% fee. After those 3 days, at least one full month is not refundable. A server built to order, once you agree to wait for it, is not refundable, and payments in cryptocurrency are final. Read the full refund policy.
Ways to pay
Card, PayPal, bank transfer or cryptocurrency. Crypto helps if a card payment to a US company is hard where you live.
11 Worked example
One server's bill, line by line
Say you want a web server with cPanel, four addresses, a quicker support response and backups. Here is that bill, built from the cheapest complete configuration of our Intel Xeon Silver / Gold servers and the prices above.
- The machine is built in the configurator, so it is a custom build and pays the one-time setup fee.
- cPanel is software: it pays its own setup once, and later gets no discount.
- The first month of Backup Advanced is free, so the first payment is lower by that amount.
- Paid 12 months at once, every line except cPanel takes 15% off.
The same build in Amsterdam or Bucharest is billed €182.17 a month. Windows Server Standard instead of Linux would add $20.79 a month for this machine's 8 cores. Billed to a New York address, sales tax applies to the cPanel line only. The checkout rounds each line, so its total can differ by a cent.

What people ask about the cost of a bare metal server
01What does a bare metal server cost in total each month?
The machine itself starts at $5 a month, and if you add nothing, that figure plus any tax is your whole monthly bill. Each extra adds its own fixed line: a faster port, more IPv4 addresses, a support tier, a backup plan or a licence. The worked example on this page shows a full bill built from those lines.
02Do you charge for bandwidth or traffic?
No. The port is unmetered, so there is no transfer allowance and no overage. You only pay more if you choose a faster port, and that price is the same every month however busy it gets.
03Is there a setup fee on a bare metal server?
Not on a ready server taken exactly as listed, unless its plan carries a small fee of its own. A server you configure yourself pays $29 once, or its plan's own fee where it has one. Either way it is paid with the first invoice and never again.
04Will the price go up when I renew?
No. A renewal bills the same lines at the same prices. The only thing that can change is a discount that was always meant to end, like a minimum-term discount once its months are billed.
05Do licences get the discount for paying a year ahead?
No. Software such as Windows Server or cPanel costs its monthly price times the months you pay for. The 15% for paying a year ahead applies to the machine, the port, addresses, support and backups.
06Can I get a refund if the server is not right for me?
Yes, if you ask in writing within 3 days of the server going live. It is pro rata, less a 15% fee. After 3 days, at least one full month is kept, build-to-order servers are not refundable once you agreed to wait for them, and crypto payments are final. Every condition is spelled out in our refund policy.
07Are VAT or sales tax included in the prices?
Not included: tax is added at checkout, on top of these figures. For a server in Amsterdam or Bucharest, VAT follows your billing country and whether you have a valid EU VAT number. For a server in one of our US cities, sales tax appears only if you bill from New York State, and then only on licences such as Windows or cPanel.
08Why would my invoice be in euros?
Servers in our Amsterdam and Bucharest data centers are invoiced in euros, using the same figure the build costs in dollars in the US. Pick a US city if you would rather pay in dollars.
