Unmetered dedicated servers

Unmetered server hosting where the traffic is never on the bill

An unmetered server from Primcast is a whole dedicated machine on a port that nobody counts. You pay one monthly price for the server and its port speed, and every gigabyte your listeners, viewers or users pull through it costs nothing more.

Ports run from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps, and the port is yours alone at the switch.

01 How it works

Unmetered bandwidth on a dedicated server, in plain words

Most hosts sell a monthly traffic allowance and charge for every terabyte over it. We do not count your traffic at all. What you choose is how fast the port is, and that speed is the only network line on your invoice.

01No counter

No allowance, no overage, no fair-use clause

Nothing on our side adds up your gigabytes, so there is no limit to cross and no surprise invoice after a big month. Traffic coming in is not counted either, which means moving your files over to us costs nothing extra.

02Your own port

Nobody else sends traffic on it

The port speed you pick belongs to your server only, with no burst rate and no shared pool behind it. The data center's uplinks above the port carry everyone's traffic, as they do on every network. If you plan to run near full speed for hours, say so when you order and we place your server with that in mind.

03The real ceiling

Unmetered is not the same as unlimited

The port speed is your limit, and it is a hard one. A 1 Gbps port moves at most about 324 TB in 30 days, running flat out the whole time. When your audience outgrows that, you raise the port instead of paying per terabyte.

04Room to grow

Change the port, keep the server

We raise the port on the machine you already have, at a time that suits you. Your IP address, your operating system and your files stay as they are, and nothing is reinstalled. You can step back down the same way when a busy season ends.

02 Port speed

Which port does your unmetered server need?

Multiply the people connected at the same time by the bitrate of what they receive, then keep that under 80% of the port. The table does the sums for two common jobs.

Three places to start

Each price below is a complete machine on the port it ships with, so you can see what the server itself costs. A faster port is added in the configurator, and each port page shows its price.

Intel Xeon E3-1585L v5 Quad Core 3.00 Ghz · 32 GB DDR4 · 1 × NVMe-SSD 240 GB · 1 Gbps

The same machine takes up to 64 GB of memory and drives as large as NVMe-SSD 3.84 TB when you configure it.

Right for a new radio network, a download mirror or a growing app. The 10 Gbps server page prices the step up.

Between 20 and 100 there is a 40 Gbps step. It is the point where packing more capacity onto one machine starts to cost less per gigabit, so read the 40 Gbps page before you choose.

03 Who it is for

Unmetered dedicated server hosting for the job you run

An unmetered port pays off when your traffic is large, steady or hard to predict. These are the jobs our customers put on it.

01Audio

Internet radio and audio streams

A show that goes viral or a new affiliate that relays your stream adds listeners, not invoices. If you want the station software run for you instead, see our radio hosting.

02Video

Video origins and IPTV platforms

Use the server as an origin or an edge node for live channels and video on demand in HD and 4K. When the whole machine is for streaming, our dedicated streaming servers are sized by viewers per port and come with the engine installed.

03Files

Downloads, mirrors and backups

Game patches, software releases, open source mirrors and off-site copies move a lot of data in bursts. On a metered plan the busiest week sets the bill. Here it does not.

04Apps

AI inference and busy APIs

When answers get faster, people ask more often. With an unmetered port, more requests and bigger responses do not raise the cost of the network under them.

Each machine below comes with an unmetered port in its price. Prices, specs and data centers load live from our catalogue. Open one to change the port, memory, disks or city, then pay month to month with no contract.

Bandwidth Pricing

See how we compare to our competition

*Competitor figures are what each provider's own published price list charges for that much outbound traffic to the internet in a month, with its free allowance deducted: AWS (US East), Google Cloud (Premium Tier, from Iowa) and Azure (North America), read on 29 September 2026. None of the three sells an unmetered port.

Our figures come from the order catalogue. Every server ships with an unmetered port, so traffic itself is never billed; a 1 Gbps port is included on most lines and sold as an upgrade on the rest, and the chart shows the upgrade price.

Service Level Agreement

05 Before you order

What you get, and what we leave out

A short list so nothing on your first invoice or your first busy night surprises you.

What comes with it

  • The whole physical server, with root access and nothing else running on it.
  • One IPv4 address, with IPv6 free to add at checkout.
  • Monthly billing with no contract. Paying 3, 6 or 12 months ahead takes 5, 10 or 15% off.
  • A ready server is online in 30 minutes once your order is approved. A machine built for you takes 4 to 24 hours.
  • If we cannot deliver the server you ordered, your payment comes back in full.

What we don't do

  • Sell DDoS protection. Attack filtering has to come from a scrubbing provider or a CDN placed ahead of the server, and the clean traffic it passes back costs you nothing on an unmetered port.
  • Let traffic run past the speed of the port. Unmetered means not counted, not unlimited.
  • Host content without the rights to it. We are not a DMCA-ignored host.
  • Print an uptime percentage. Our agreement gives credits instead.

Under our service level agreement, a network outage longer than 15 minutes in a row earns you a day of credit for each hour it adds up to, capped at one month. Read the service level agreement (PDF).

06 Questions

Unmetered server questions, answered

01What is an unmetered server?

It is a dedicated server whose network traffic is not measured or billed. You pay for the machine and the speed of its port, and you can send and receive as much as that port carries, all month, at no extra cost.

02Is an unmetered server the same as unlimited bandwidth?

Not quite. Unmetered means nobody counts your traffic. The port speed is still a ceiling: a 1 Gbps port cannot send more than one gigabit each second. Hosts that sell "unlimited bandwidth" usually mean the same thing, sometimes with a fair-use clause attached. We have no fair-use clause.

03Do you sell a 100 Mbps unmetered dedicated server?

No. Our smallest port is 500 Mbps, included on some of our entry servers, and the machines on this page start on 1 Gbps with the port in the price. Either one is several times what a 100 Mbps plan gives you.

04Do you count incoming traffic?

No. Traffic is not counted in either direction, so uploads, backups arriving and a full migration from your old host cost nothing on top of the server.

05Can I get a 100 Gbps unmetered server?

Yes, on the one server line that carries it, and you can order the machine with the 100 Gbps port already set. The 100 Gbps server page has the price of the port and what to plan for.

06What happens if I run the port at full speed all month?

Nothing changes. No amount of traffic triggers throttling, shaping or a review, because nothing is counting. Running at full speed is what the port is for. Tell us when you order if that is your plan, so your server goes where there is room for it.

07Where are your unmetered servers?

In our data centers in New York, Miami, San Francisco, Amsterdam and Bucharest. Not every machine is offered in every city, and the server list above shows where each one can go. To test the route from your audience, use our looking glass.

08Can I use my own IP addresses or a BGP session?

Talk to sales before you order. A letter of authorisation and a BGP session can both be discussed, and the answer depends on the data center and the routing you need, so our network engineers reply to it directly.

09Does an unmetered server include DDoS protection?

No, we do not sell DDoS protection on any server. If what you run tends to attract attacks, place a scrubbing service or a CDN in front of it.

10Who answers if I have a question before ordering?

Open the chat on this page. Our AI assistant replies in seconds and can look up your account and your servers. Ask for a person at any point and one of our team takes over the conversation.
