Vultr bare metal pricing has two parts: the monthly price of the plan and the traffic past its allowance. Their entry plan includes 5,120 GB a month. Here is what the second part adds as your audience grows.

The table counts only the plan's own allowance. Vultr also gives every account 2 TB of free transfer a month, shared with all its other servers; if none of it is used elsewhere, each line above is $20.48 lower. Incoming traffic is free on both sides. On our side a 1 Gbps port is included on all three servers matched below, and faster ports are a fixed monthly price you choose in the configurator.

Vultr's plan names, parts, allowances and prices come from their public plans list, read on 3 October 2026. Their Xeon chips run at higher clock speeds than ours, so the core counts are the fair match, not the gigahertz. A server you build to order with us carries a one-time setup fee of $29. The EPYC build is offered in New York and Bucharest; the other two in New York, Bucharest, San Francisco, Miami and Amsterdam.

On 3 October 2026 Vultr's public plan list started bare metal at $120 a month for a 4-core Xeon E3-1270 with 32 GB and 5,120 GB of transfer. An 8-core plan with 128 GB was $350, and a 24-core EPYC with 256 GB was $725. Traffic past each allowance costs $0.01 per GB on top.
No. Each plan includes a monthly allowance, 5,120 or 10,240 GB on the general plans, pooled across your account. Outbound traffic beyond it is billed at $0.01 per GB. Incoming traffic is free.
Yes. You pay for the speed of the port, and what goes through it is not counted. A 1 Gbps port is included on most Xeon and EPYC servers, the smallest cartridges come with 500 Mbps, and you can order more speed in the configurator. The one limit is the port itself: a 1 Gbps port moves about 324,000 GB in a full month.
A ready server is delivered in about 30 minutes once payment is approved. A server built to order takes 4 to 24 hours. Your login details arrive by email.
Order the new server, copy your data across while the old one keeps running, test, then point your domains at the new address. Copying data in costs nothing because our port is not metered. Our server migration guide walks through each step, and the chat can answer questions as you go.
There is no contract: you pay month to month and can cancel any time. We do not bill by the hour, so if you need a machine for a single day, an hourly provider suits that job better. Paying 3, 6 or 12 months ahead takes 5, 10 or 15% off the machine.
