It gets its own operating system, its own IP addresses and root access, and it shares the physical server underneath with other customers. That makes it the sensible buy for a VPN, a bot, a small app or a test copy of something bigger. When a job needs the whole machine, we sell that too.

Whole servers on older hardware, priced to match · every line we run
Each one comes from the distribution's own official image. Pick it when you order, and switch to another from your dashboard whenever you want: switching wipes the disk and starts clean.
Sending email: ports 465 and 587 work from day one, which is all a mail app or an email service needs. Port 25 stays closed on new machines until you ask us to open it for a mail server of your own.

After that, the Virtual Machines tab in your dashboard does the rest: start, stop and restart it, open its console, reinstall it, or set a new root password, all without writing to us. It also keeps a log of what was done to the machine and by whom, our team included.
It is a real virtual machine: its own operating system, its own IP addresses and root access for you. It is not a whole physical computer. It runs on one of our servers alongside other customers' machines, so if you need the entire box to yourself, that is a dedicated server.

Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux. Windows is not offered on a Cloud VPS. You can change to another system later from your dashboard; changing wipes the disk.
With SSH, as root. Paste your SSH keys when you order and they are waiting when the machine starts. If you would rather use a password, the root password is in your dashboard, and you can change it there.
Yes, through ports 465 and 587, the ports mail apps and email services use. Port 25 is closed on new machines; ask us to open it if you want to run your own mail server.
Yes, to any bigger size. Ask us in live chat or with a ticket. The machine restarts once and keeps its files and its IP addresses. Going down a size is not possible, because a disk cannot be made smaller.
Open its console from your dashboard to see the screen, or restart it from there. If nothing else helps, reinstall it. Our team is on chat and phone at any hour if you get stuck.
Monthly, or a year at a time for less; both prices are shown above. The machine is set up once the first payment is made, and renewals are billed like your other Primcast services. If a renewal is not paid, the machine is suspended until it is.
No. We do not sell DDoS protection on anything, and a Cloud VPS is no different. If you expect attacks, put a protection service or a CDN in front of it.
A VPN, yes. Torrents, no: our terms of service rule them out on everything we sell.
