Follow this step-by-step guide to configure the Wowza GoCoder app on your iOS or Android device for live streaming to your Primcast server. Get your broadcast live in just a few minutes.
Follow each step carefully to configure Wowza GoCoder and start live streaming from your mobile device to your Primcast server.
Launch the Wowza GoCoder app on your iOS device. An instructional overlay will appear on first launch describing each button. Tap anywhere to dismiss it, or tap the X to dismiss it permanently.

Tap the Server button in the upper-right corner of the app to open the Server configuration page.

Tap Host and enter your Primcast server's IP address or hostname. Enter the streaming port in the Port field — by default, Wowza uses TCP port 1935. Tap Back when done.

Tap Application, enter your Wowza application name and stream name from your Primcast dashboard, then tap Back.

Tap Publisher Login, enter your Primcast publisher name and password, then tap Done.

Tap the Options button in the upper-right corner of the app to open the encoding settings page where you can configure video, audio, and stream type.

Tap Stream and select either Video + Audio or Video Only for a video stream, or Audio Only to stream audio without video. Tap Back when done.

Tap Video Settings and set your Frame Rate, Key Frame Interval, and Transport Protocol (TCP or UDP). Then tap Back.

Tap Video Size, select your preferred output resolution, then tap Back.

At the bottom of the Options page, optionally select a video filter: No Filter, B/W (black-and-white), Blur, or B/W Blur. Tap Done to return to the main screen.

To have GoCoder automatically resume streaming after a connection drop, slide the Auto Restart toggle to ON in the Options page.

Tap the bitrate button in the lower-left corner of the app to reveal the available bitrate options. Select the highest bitrate your connection can reliably support.

Tap the Encode button to begin broadcasting to your Primcast server. Your live stream is now active.
