Cue streaming engine
Order a Cue licence
For a server you already run, at any host. Your licence key is in your dashboard as soon as your payment clears, next to the command that installs Cue.
What you license
Billing cycle
Software is billed at its monthly price on every cycle: a longer one saves you renewals, not money.
Your server optional
The key binds to the first server it is activated on. The name here only labels the licence in your dashboard, so you can leave it empty.
A full name like stream1.example.com, or an address like 203.0.113.10.
What your server needs
- Ubuntu 22.04 or later, Debian 12 or later, AlmaLinux 9 or later or Rocky Linux 9 or later, on a 64-bit Intel or AMD processor, and root access. Cue has no ARM build.
- A public IPv4 address. Cue names the server by it unless you give it a host name; with a name that points at the server, it gets a free Let’s Encrypt certificate for it.
- Nothing else to set up. The installer checks our signed release, installs Cue and prints the interface’s first sign-in once; the interface answers on port 8443.
curl -fsSL -o install.sh https://releases.servcast.net/cue/install.sh
CUE_LICENSE=CUE-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX sh install.sh
The whole install: two commands as root, with your key in place of the Xs. Your dashboard shows them ready to copy.
